Britain’s King Charles announced his son William as the new Prince of Wales while expressing his love for Harry and Meghan in his first televised address as king.
In his speech, which aired at 6pm, he said he was creating his son and heir, William, Prince of Wales, adding: “With Catherine by his side, our new Prince and Princess of Wales will be like me knows, continue to inspire and lead our national conversations to bring the marginalized front and center where vital assistance can be delivered.”

“As the Queen herself has done with such unwavering devotion, I now solemnly pledge myself to uphold the constitutional principles in the heart of our nation during the remaining time that God grants me,” he said.
The new king ended his address by saying: “To my beloved Mama, as you embark on your final great journey to meet my dear late Papa, I just want to say this: thank you. Thank you for your love and devotion to our family and to the family of nations you have served so diligently over the years. May swarms of angels sing you to your rest.”
