British sex tourist who cut up Thai dancer ‘came like a neo-Nazi’, says pal – World News

A friend of British killer Shane Looker, who killed Laxami Manochat in Bangkok, recalls that the former bouncer was an angry man obsessed with “petite women” and who came across as “neo-Nazi”.

A Briton who dismembered a Thai mother and stuffed her remains into a suitcase was “fixed by petite women” and suffered from steroid rage as a teenager, they say.

Killer Shane Looker reportedly “enjoyed any kind of aggro,” says a woman who knew him when he was a muscular bouncer.

Sex tourist Looker, 52, was jailed 12 days ago after confessing to killing dancer Laxami Manochat in Bangkok. He threw her into a river in a suitcase weighted with stones. Her clothes and a dead dog were in the bag.

Now a former friend has told how she saw the businessman outbursts of anger in the late 1980s. The woman, who asked not to be named, said: “I saw him claim he would never hurt anyone – but I knew damn well he would.

“Shane took his job as a bouncer very seriously – too seriously. He always seemed angry. He was known to take steroids and seemed to enjoy fights.

“He was known for his wild anger and never backed down when there was aggro. He would revel in it. He was staring at people and chewing gum the whole time – anxious.”

The woman was a barmaid at the Stones wine bar in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs.

Knowing Looker from school in Newcastle-under-Lyme, she adds: “He was a rough teenager and had a lot of girlfriends.

“He had a soft spot for petite girls, he was fixated on them. He was dating a co-worker who was very petite, she must have been 5ft 2in in stilettos while he was over 6ft.”

The woman clashed with Looker years later when he insulted a friend.

She adds: “He didn’t like her because she had a black boyfriend. He said something about her being an enemy of the state. He looked like a neo-Nazi. I defused the situation because it looked like he was going to attack her.”

Looker was sentenced to 16 years in Thailand, which was reduced to eight years because of his guilty plea. He met the mother of a Laxami, 31, at Hot Lips Bar in November 2014.

Looker fled to Spain, where he was held in 2017. The court also ordered him to pay Laxami’s family £291,000.
