British Transport Police confirm the death of a man who was hit by a train at Three Bridges

Police have confirmed a man died when he was hit by a train yesterday.

All train lines were closed for hours while emergency services responded to the incident at Three Bridges.

A UK Transport Police spokesman said officers were called to Three Bridges station at 11.55am after receiving reports of an accident on the tracks.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police are not treating the death as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

“Paramedics were also present but unfortunately one man was pronounced dead at the scene,” the spokesman said.
