Britney Spears’ ex-husband to second prison on further charges

Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been transferred to a second California prison and faces two more felonies.

Ason Alexander, 40, has been charged in a 2015 incident in which he allegedly stole a $2,000 (£1,650) bracelet from a woman he rented a room from in Napa County.

A spokesman for the Napa County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to the PA news agency that Alexander was transferred to the county jail Tuesday after serving his time in Ventura County.

Alexander has been convicted of trespassing and battery after trying to crash Ms Spears’ wedding to Sam Asghari last month.

PA understands that after serving his sentence, Napa County authorities requested that his release be stayed so officers could pick him up — a roughly 10-hour drive.

Alexander’s bail has been set at $20,000 (£16,500) and he is scheduled to appear in Napa County Superior Court on Wednesday.

He is charged with theft and buying/selling stolen property.

Napa County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Henry Wofford told PA the crimes were committed in 2015 after Alexander rented a room from a woman in American Canyon in Napa County.

“She had a room to rent and was looking for a tenant for the room. A friend recommended Mr. Alexander,” he said.

“Mr. Alexander moved there and within the first month he lived there, the homeowner discovered that her $2,000 bracelet was missing from her bedroom.

“She asked Mr. Alexander if he stole the bracelet, he said no and finally moved out.

“She contacted him again and Mr Alexander admitted he had stolen her bracelet and pawned it at a local pawn shop.”

The woman was unable to get her bracelet from the pawn shop, after which she contacted the sheriff’s department, Mr Wofford added.

By the time the report was filed in 2016, he had left the state.

Alexander was previously sentenced to 128 days in Ventura County jail after being convicted of misdemeanor crimes at the address of Ms. Spears.

He was found not guilty of the crime of stalking and another charge of vandalism.

Alexander was Spears’ first husband and they were married less than three days in 2004 before an annulment occurred. Britney Spears’ ex-husband to second prison on further charges
