Britney Spears fans are thrilled after the singer referred to “husband” Sam Asghari in an Instagram post

Britney Spears fans were over the moon after the singer referred to Sam Asghari as her “husband” in a new post.

The singer has been in a relationship with the Iranian model and personal trainer since 2016. In 2021 they announced their engagement.

While many suspected the couple had secretly married, Spears quietly confirmed it in an Instagram post shared on Friday (March 40).

Spears, 40, posted a video of baby turtles with the caption, “My husband Sam Asghari sent me this.”

The couple was on vacation celebrates the 28th birthday of Asghari. In the previous post, she referred to Asghari as her fiancé.

It’s not known exactly when the couple got married, but Spears fans are excited about the news.

“Did anyone say HUSBAND?” one follower wrote, while another added, “Britney just wrote ‘husband’ on her post… girls… are you all getting married?”

One of her fans called the couple “cute,” while many just excitedly pointed out the inclusion of the word “husband.”

“Wishing you both many happy years,” one follower wrote, with some echoing the lyrics to her hit song “Stronger,” which read, “Stronger than yesterday / Now it’s nothing but my path.”

Asghari was praised for supporting Spears throughout the fight to finish her conservatory, which she was awarded in November 2021.

Spears should have obtained permission to marry Asghari if she was still under the conservatory.

The singer was previously married to Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons, ages 14 and 15, and was briefly married to childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004.
