Britney Spears’ lawyer has defended her as a ‘loyal’ mother who ‘loves her children dearly’ after family videos of her ex-husband were released.
athew Rosengart said Kevin Federline, 44, had eroded the singer’s “privacy and dignity” and that his actions were “cruel, the bottom of the barrel”.
Former backup dancer Federline, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007, recently posted a series of videos that appear to show her arguing with her children.
In an interview earlier this week, he said the former couple’s two teenage sons made the decision not to see their mother.
In a statement, Mr Rosengart said: “Britney Spears is a brilliantly talented, extremely hardworking icon who is justifiably loved and respected by millions around the world.
“Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of Mr Federline, who inexplicably decided to give a gratuitous interview that hurt the mother of his children.
“Britney has been a faithful supporter of her children and she loves them dearly.”
He added: “Whether he realizes it or not, Mr. Federline has not only violated the privacy and dignity of his children’s mother, he has also undermined his own children, whose privacy he should protect.”
“Apart from his ITV interview, Mr Federline’s unwise decision to release an old video of his children aged 11 and 12 was cruel, bottom of the barrel.”
Mr Rosengart added that Federline has also “created various legal issues for himself” including cyber harassment and cyberbullying, and that he is working with Instagram to ensure he is abiding by the platform’s rules.

“We urge Mr Federline to act with a measure of decency and decency and to stop discussing private matters publicly, which benefits no one,” he said.
