The father of a Brit woman murdered by her husband says he dreads the day he will have to tell her daughter how she died.
19-year-old British woman Caroline Crouch was killed by her husband Babis Anagnostopoulos at her family’s home in Glyka Nera, near Athens, Greece.
Babis Anagnostopoulos strangled Caroline as she slept next to her baby Lydia.
He then hung her beloved husky dog, Roxy, from the railing and taped herself up to fake a robbery to cover up his crime.
For 37 days, he played the role of the grieving husband while toying with the police and Caroline’s family, thinking he got away with murder until he was arrested.

During the five-week trial, he admitted to killing Caroline “in the heat of action” in the early hours of May 11, 2021 after she asked him for a divorce.
This week Anagnostopoulos, 34, was sentenced to 27 years in prison for killing his young wife, hanging the family dog and perverting justice.
Caroline’s parents David and his wife Susan, who are raising Lydia in their home on the Greek island of Alonissos, where Caroline grew up, said they had decided to erase all traces of Anagnostopoulos from the little girl’s life.

They changed their last name and are doing everything they can to make sure he never sees them again.
He told that Daily Mail : “One day Lydia will ask where her mother is; it’s a day i dread. She needs to know, and hedging around the issue won’t work.
“One day she’ll find out the unvarnished truth, so it’s far better that she learn it from her loving grandparents than piece it together.”
The family court in Greece last October granted the Crouches sole custody of Lydia, but said the paternal grandparents could visit her up to five times a month.
At first, David accepted the visit of Anagnostopoulos’ parents, but now refuses to see them as they still claim their son is innocent.
He said: “I can’t control the hate I have for their son and their belief that he’s innocent and just covering up for someone – despite being convicted of first degree murder – makes it impossible for them to offer any sort of apology .”
He said it was a small consolation that Anagnostopoulos was imprisoned in Korydallos prison with other killers.
