Brock & Misty return to the Pokemon anime to say a final goodbye to Ash

This is an appropriate choice. After all, who better to bring back than the two friends Ash had by his side when he entered a Gym Challenge and Pokemon League tournament for the first time? Both characters have appeared occasionally since splitting with Ash, but this could be their most significant reunion of all time.

Although it has been confirmed that Brock and Misty will share some final moments with Ash, it has left the Pokémon community wondering who else deserves a final appearance. After all, Ash has had many other beloved traveling companions over his 25 years on screen. And of course we have to remember the likes of Gary Oak, Ash’s first real rival and competitor ever – we hope he shows up too.

The episodes will also feature a remixed version of the original Pokemon anime theme song, returning to the roots of the series to end things with a nostalgic nod. Get your inner child ready and try to hold back these water features for this emotional end of an era.

Ash’s final episodes will be released on January 13, 2023 in Japan in an 11-episode series titled Pokemon: Aim to be a Master. English release dates are yet to be confirmed, but the episodes will appear on Netflix as the final batch in Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.
