Brooklyn McDonald’s workers shot dead in dispute over food, police say

A McDonald’s employee in New York is in critical condition after he was shot in the neck after a dispute over food outside the fast-food restaurant Monday night, police said.
The 23-year-old man was working at a McDonald’s location in Brooklyn when he became involved in a verbal argument with a customer about food around 7 p.m. ET, a spokesman for the New York City Police Department said.
The confrontation escalated into a physical altercation when the woman’s 20-year-old son got involved and the argument spilled onto the street outside the fast-food joint, police said.

The 20-year-old is said to have shot the McDonald’s employee in the neck.
The victim was taken to nearby Brookdale Hospital where he was in critical condition early Tuesday morning.
The 20-year-old was taken into police custody with charges pending, the NYPD said.
Police were unable to identify either the victim or the suspect.
They said an investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
