Broomwalking is the hot new Hogwarts legacy trend thanks to this glitch

It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!

Bugs are nothing new to players, and Hogwarts Legacy certainly has a lot of them. Some of them can be frustrating, but others can make you laugh. A Reddit user named Dulgoron experienced the latter when he accidentally made his character walk on his flying broomstick.

The player explained that immediately after dismounting, he tried to dodge an attack, which somehow triggered this strange error. The character could still control the broom, but instead of using his hands, he now used his feet.

Dulgoron shared the video on Reddit, which made many fans laugh at the absurdity of the situation. The player said they could still cast spells during the bug, but the game suddenly switched to a first-person perspective before the death screen appeared.

It seems that Dulgoron isn’t the only player who has had this problem. a YouTuber, PlayDohBeareven uploaded a tutorial video explaining how players can replicate this bug.

First you need to find a ledge to trigger the bug. PlayDohBear suggests visiting the north exit of Hogwarts as you can find one near the Floo flame. Next you have to jump over the edge, but quickly open the radial menu and try jumping again.

Your character should attempt to mount your broom and you must immediately spam the jump button. If you’ve got it set correctly, you should now be floating on the broom.

As far as glitches go, this one certainly lands on the humorous rather than annoying side. After all, it’s not every day you see a wizard or witch walking around in heaven. One wonders if the developer will fix this bug in the future or if they should at all.

Hogwarts Legacy is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
