BTS fans will not accept the latest government protocols on Covid in Korea sit down, despite the ban on standing as well as singing and shouting.
A gig in their home country has always been profitable, and the 7-piece boy band has found that their gigs in the country have been severely reduced.
Instead of 70,000 people coming to see them in Seoul, only 15,000 people were allowed to attend, and a lot of restrictions on who were there.
In a statement before the show, BTS’s co-manager. Big Hit Music stated, “Excessive cheering, shouting, chanting, and standing up during ‘BTS Permission To Dance On Stage – Seoul’ is strictly prohibited according to government guidelines.”
So fans clapped as a way of showing their appreciation for the supergroup.

Luckily for those present at the concert, there won’t be any cases of palm pain from clapping too much as each fan is given a “clap”, which they can use. Use as much as possible.
The band was then treated to synchronized applause during their songs, and a large number of users clapped to celebrate each track.
Thursday’s performance is the first time the K-pop boy band has performed in its home country since the start of the global pandemic.
BTS is expected to play two more times with fans hugging the “clappers” as a way of showing their love and support without breaking the strict Covid rules.
Big Hit Music has a warning for fans, especially those with a socially distant attitude.
In their statement, they added: “Seating for the live performance will comply with distancing guidelines imposed by the local government’s performance venue requirements for Covid-19 control measures. .
“The event may be changed or canceled depending on the level of social distancing.”
