Budget airlines slash fares to £22 over Easter holiday with extra flights planned

Ryanair is selling Easter Saturday flights from Newcastle to Menorca in Spain for just £22, while easyJet has fares from Stansted to Majorca for just £27

Budget airlines have slashed fares to £22 compared to Easter Holidays to tempt Covid -Country garment to get a respite in the sun.
And it has taken more flights in the hope of a surge in demand after all travel tests for fully vaccinated passengers were scrapped this month.
The move comes amid industry concerns that the cost-of-living crisis and the invasion of Ukraine will affect holiday bookings by expats.
Ryanair is currently selling Easter Saturday flights from Newcastle to Menorca in Spain for just £22, while easyJet has fares from Stansted to Majorca for just £27.
Other cheap deals include Stansted to Kalamata, Greece, with Ryanair for £25 and Wizz Air fares from Gatwick to Sicily for £32. Meanwhile Jet2.com has flights on Easter Saturday from Bristol to Faro, Portugul, starting from £51 one way.

Airline comparison website Skyscanner says prices are likely to remain low for months.
A spokesman said: “People booked months in advance of the pandemic. Now they are thinking of traveling on a short-term basis.”
More than two million people flew abroad by Easter 2019.
The British Association of Travel Agents said 2022 would not touch that but added: “We expect more people planning to go further. The picture looks positive”.
Jet2Holidays added 80 more flights for the spring bank holiday and Easter.
“We anticipate a great getaway in the sun,” said owner Steve Heapy.
