Bug fixes for the World of Warcraft Classic Season of Mastery are on the way, but be patient

World of Warcraft Classic sees some complicated issues after the latest patch. Community members are reporting mobs that are out of place, stuck, and other weird and clearly out of place bugs.

Bugs in the last patch include broken paths where mobs are completely out of place, even in the water, but somewhat obscured as if half buried. A community member, Wizpig, made a post on the forums titled “Last patch broken SOM” that summarizes some of the glaring issues:

“Mobs in the water, e.g. Things like the turtles in Hillsbrad or the crocodiles in Dustwallow Marsh all spawn half in the water and half underground. If you agro them, they’ll swim 50 meters just under the world before swimming up another 50 meters, which takes 30 seconds plus.

The blimps get stuck just before they cross the water.”

Now Blizzard has responded with Aggend, the producer WoW classic, jumps in to explain what she thinks is going on and what the timeline for fixing issues might be. And those who are currently struggling with the Season of Mastery will have to be patient.

“Just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that we are aware of the issues with creatures migrating through non-oceanic pools of water and are now working hard on a fix. This is a fairly complex issue to fix, as most areas of Azeroth will need to change the terrain itself and do a lot of testing before we can have confidence that our fix didn’t cause other issues.”

Since so much broke with the last patch that they are taking the time to test it sufficiently to ensure things get fixed again, things will also take a little more time. If the fix is ​​tested, it will need to be included in the weekly maintenance, but it won’t make it for tomorrow’s patch.
