Dublin Bus drivers have accepted a proposed Pay and Productivity Agreement which will see a wage increase of 15.5 per cent over five years.
The deal would tie a wage premium of 11 percent to living expenses and another 4.5 percent to productivity.
It was recommended by the Labor Court, which was accepted by a narrow majority of members of SIPTU and the National Bus and Rail Union (NBRU) – 50.6 percent in favor and 49.4 percent against.
A Dublin Bus spokesman said it was pleased to note the outcome of the union group’s vote on the Labor Court’s recommendation on the proposed Drivers’ Pay Agreement 2022.
“Dublin Bus’ board will now consider the Labor Court’s recommendation,” the company said.
Last month, drivers at Iarnród Éireann voted in favor of a wage and productivity deal worth 10.5 percent over five years.
A vote of five union groups accepted it by 75 to 25 percent.
