Buses stopped when a car crash on Brighton seafront closed the road

A NUMBER of bus routes are being terminated early as emergency services attend to a car accident by the sea.

Routes 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 48 and 50, operated by Brighton and Hove Buses, stop and start at Old Steine.

The A259 King’s Road is currently closed in both directions following the collision.

AA Traffic News reports that the collision involved a car in front of the Hilton Metropole hotel.

Two fire and ambulance crews are on site and long traffic jams form along the beach promenade.
