CADBURY Ireland has revealed that their new vegan chocolate bars have finally landed on store shelves in Ireland.
In development for over two years, this is their first plant-based chocolate bar and is launching in two delicious flavors.
Cadbury Plant Bar is the new alternative to the popular Cadbury Dairy Milk, available in smooth chocolate and fine chocolate with salted caramel.
And follow Cadbury, they used almond flour as a substitute for cow’s milk, as it provides a texture similar to the dairy ingredients while “providing a bit of a nutty flavor”.
It was developed over two years at Mondelez International’s Global Chocolate Research and Development Center in Bournville.
And the Plant Bar line is branded vegan, registered by the Vegan Society.
In addition, the packaging is also completely plant-based and uses certified bio-based plastics made from renewable sources.
Meanwhile, Cadbury Brand Manager, Eileen Leahy, shares her excitement about the new chocolate.
