ACTIVISION Blizzard, one of the world’s largest publishers, has leaked internal documents detailing planned release dates for a number of popular games.
The document reportedly shows the release dates for a number of its most popular games, running until the end of 2022.
Call of Duty, Overwatch, Diablo, and World of Warcraft are all mentioned in the allegedly leaked document, which contains update and full release dates.
September 26th is the date for World of Warcraft Classic’s second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, with pre-orders appearing to start on August 30th.
On October 4th, the document states that Overwatch 2’s PVP mode will officially launch and exit the current beta.
This date of the leak coincides with what was previously officially announced by the company.
If the leak is to be believed, the release schedule will be tight, presumably to offset losses in Activision Blizzard’s earnings quarter-on-quarter over the past two years.
The next game on the list with a release date is the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is listed with an October 27th.
This release was officially announced and is about a month after the end of open beta testing.
The free-to-play Call of Duty, Warzone 2, will apparently be released shortly thereafter on November 16th.
The document also claims that the World of Warcraft 10.0 update Dragonflight will be released on November 28th.
It is also said that a trailer for Diablo 4 is supposed to be shown at The Game Awards.
If the leak is to be believed, pre-orders for Diablo 4 will also open during the event.
However, the document doesn’t give any dates after the end of 2022, so no release date for Diablo 4 has been spotted.
The leaked document has not been verified or officially released by the company, so there is no way to tell if it is real or fake.
However, the schedule appears to be consistent with statements released by the company about when these games and updates could be released
