Camila Cabello has finally spoken out about the rumors she suffered leaving pop band Fifth Harmony to pursue solo success.
The 25-year-old singer was a member of the hit girl group that consisted of Ally Brooke, 28, Dinah Jane, 24, Lauren Jauregui, 25, and Normani Hamilton, 25, and formed on the American version of The X Factor in 2012 .
The group released two Top 20 albums before Camila abruptly left the group in December 2016 – the remaining ladies released a third album before announcing in March 2018 that they were going on an indefinite hiatus.
There have been rumors of animosity between the ladies ever since Camila left the group – and now the Cuban-American beauty has hinted at her true feelings towards her former band in a new song titled Psychofreak.
The song’s lyrics include the lines, “Everybody says they miss the old me, I’ve been on this ride since I was 15 / I don’t blame the girls for how it went down, down.”
Meanwhile, the star said she’s kept in touch with her former bandmates since she left the group just over five years ago.
she said The sun: “We supported each other through DMs and stuff. I’m in a really good place with them.
“This song is basically about fear and all the different things that made my journey with fear and my start in the industry very young.”
Fans are also getting a glimpse of Camila’s split from Shawn Mendes following the release of her third solo album, titled “Familia.”
The pair topped the global charts in 2019 with their single Señorita and was a topic from July 2019 to November last year.

Camila has now channeled her heartbreak into some of her new songs – and said it’s a form of therapy for her to process her grief.
you E! News: “There was a time when my anxiety was so bad I was like, ‘I don’t feel like I can go in the studio. I don’t feel like I can work. I do not know’.
“And so the only way for me to go to work every day was to be honest and be myself.
“And if I didn’t go to work and just waited for me to get better before I did . . . it’s just a paralyzing feeling.”
She continued, “My life was so bad and so painful that I was like, ‘If you tell me eating shit off the floor makes me feel better, I will.
“I thought, ‘Yeah, of course, therapy. All of it’. I just felt so vulnerable. It was so hard to talk about [the split].
“It was the first time I’d talked about these things that I’d only ever talked about with my mom and my therapist.
“You’ll reach a point where it’s your only option. Look for that feeling, because then something will step in and help.”
