Royal Ascot: Charles and Camilla leave the carriage seat for the Queen
Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall has opened up about life in the royal family, her relationship with Prince Charles and her fears for her grandchildren in a rare interview.
The future Queen Consort put Vogue ahead of her 75th birthday later this year to offer a brutally candid glimpse into belonging to The Firm.
She told the fashion bible she doesn’t have any big plans for her special day and will likely just spend it with family and a few friends, saying: “Who really wants to be 75 but there’s nothing we can do about it.”
The fashion lover picked all the outfits from her own closet, but admitted that the nail polish she made for the occasion fell off while gardening the day before the interview.
She also joked with photographer Jamie Hawkesworth when the Vogue crew arrived, apologizing for having to spend the day photographing an “old bat.”

When the magazine’s features director, Giles Hattersley, arrived at Clarence House for the interview, he noticed a collection of framed family photos scattered throughout.
Alongside snaps of Prince William and Harry as teenagers, he notes that a snap of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding sits “in first place in the foreground.”
The interview comes just weeks after Camilla and Charles finally met their granddaughter Lilibet when Meghan and Harry brought their children to the UK for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.

They were not photographed together over the four-day weekend, and while they both attended Thanksgiving service, they arrived separately and were seated on opposite sides of St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Daily Wordle Challenge
Just like the rest of us, it turns out the royals love Worlde and Camilla plays on her iPad every day.
She explained that she texts her granddaughter every morning to compare the results. She joked that it was “very satisfying” for the site to “tell them how brilliant you are.”
She seems to be pretty good at it and jokes that she’s had two before – impressive!
Fear for the grandchildren
As well as her royal stepchildren, Camilla shares two children – Laura and Tom – with her ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles.
She also has five grandchildren between the ages of 12 and 14, with whom she is very close and who she likes to spoil.

She tells the magazine, “The girls are starting to get into clothes and makeup and it’s pretty scary when you see them coming out with pierced ears and a lot of new makeup and fun dyed hair stuff.” “
secret of her and Charles’ marriage
Camilla admits that her busy schedules mean she and husband Prince Charles often find time to be together.
However, she says their secret always makes them sit down once a day to catch up. The pair get together over a cup of coffee and a cookie to talk about their days so far, saying, “We’re having a moment.”

But her favorite thing to do is just sit in the same room as her beloved husband while they both read. She explains that it’s relaxing as they don’t have to talk but can just be together.
public control
Camilla also opened up about the negativity she faced when her relationship with Prince Charles became public, especially after Princess Diana infamously quoted “There were three of us in the marriage so it was a bit crowded” about their affair spoke.
While Camilla’s popularity has increased dramatically after two decades of public service, including the Queen saying she would like her to become Queen Consort when Charles takes the throne, the Duchess admits it’s still “not easy”.
She told Vogue: “I’ve been scrutinized for so long you just have to find a way to live with it. Nobody likes being stared at and, you know, criticized all the time. But I think in the end I kind of lift you above it and move on. You have to get on with life.
