Canada Travel restrictions are set to ease that a bit further for Double Brits, with PCR testing requirements set to be phased out later this month.

Currently fully vaccinated Britons can visit Canada provided they also have proof of a negative PCR test done within 72 hours of arrival.

Now, the Canadian government has confirmed that from February 28, antigen tests will also be accepted for double stab cases as long as it is done one day before travel.

It can help reduce travel costs for vacationers, as antigen testing tends to be significantly cheaper than PCR testing, although it should be noted that the test must be done in a laboratory and cannot be done at home.

Those entering may be subject to screening upon entry into Canada, but the country is also loosening regulations so that they do not need to be quarantined pending results.

Meanwhile, children under 12 years old accompanied by fully vaccinated adults continue to be exempt from quarantine.

Unvaccinated travelers who are not Canadian citizens will not be able to enter the country unless they meet specific exemptions.

In recent weeks, several countries have relaxed their travel rules, including removed Covid tests for double Brits including France, Portugal, Greece and Tunisia.
