Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin live stream and fight updates tonight

Intense final press conference as Canelo and Golokvin prepare to end the rivalry with a trilogy match

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will face off for the third and likely final time tonight as the pair seek a clear conclusion to a contentious rivalry.

Canelo (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and “GGG” (42-1-1, 37 KOs) first met at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in September 2017, battling to a controversial split draw when most observers believed that then-unified middleweight champion Golovkin had done enough to claim victory. Twelve months later, the rivals met again at the same venue and produced an instant classic. Again, many felt GGG deserved the win, but Canelo clinched the title with a majority decision victory from the Kazakhs – this was the first loss of Golovkin’s pro career.

Four years later, Golovkin and Canelo face another showdown in September at the T-Mobile Arena, this time with the Mexican’s super middleweight titles. Alvarez, 32, comes into the fight after suffering the second loss of his pro career, a points loss to light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol in May. Meanwhile, age isn’t on GGG’s side as the 40-year-old looks to finally secure an official win over Canelo, but he’s at least in form – having last competed in April when he stopped Ryota Murata in the ninth round. Tonight, one of boxing’s great modern rivalries appears to be settled forever. Follow live updates and results from the Main Event and Undercard below.
