Cannabis found after rescue workers helped with home fire in Hove

CANNABIS plants found in two homes after emergency services were called to a fire.

Police were also called to the scene and when the fire was out, officers found cannabis in two apartments.

The police are still at the scene to determine the cause of the fire.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “JPolice were responding to a report of a suspicious fire at an apartment on a property on Church Road.

“After firefighters extinguished the fire, officers entered the property where they found a quantity of cannabis plants in two apartments, which were confiscated and destroyed.

“The investigation is ongoing but anyone with information that may assist officers in their investigation is asked to report this online or call police on 101 quoting serial number 241 dated 08/05.” to call.”
