Car crash outside popular Brighton pub

The vehicle crashed into a lamppost outside The Hobgoblin on London Road, Brighton.

Firefighters are on site and a cordon has been drawn around the pub.

The police have arrived at the crime scene.

An eyewitness said that pub staff later looked unhappy about the cordon off outside the store ahead of the World Cup screening.

Around 6 p.m., an eyewitness said the lamppost was cut in half by rescue workers.

Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
