Carlo Ancelotti blew up the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy as he revealed a threat against him and his reason for leaving the French club.
The Italian is about to take the lead real Madrid to the league title, meaning he will be the first manager to win top-flight titles in Spain, England, Italy, Germany and France. Despite his achievements – including lifting the Champions League Titles three times – he had many times harsh and unfair criticism within the game.
Ancelotti was in charge of PSG for 18 months and won the Ligue 1 title in his only full season at the Parc des Princes before moving to his first spell at Madrid in the summer of 2013. He lifted the Ligue 1 title with two games to go and guided the club to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they were eliminated Barcelona on away goals.
However, a week after winning the league title, Ancelotti asked to leave the club before moving to the Spanish capital, where he was replaced Jose Mourinho at the helm. The Italian won the Champions League title in his first season at Real Madrid. He has now spoken about his motivation for leaving Les Parisiens.
Ancelotti spoke about his time at PSG about Universo Valdano and how he was carried away GFFN: “I went there thanks [sporting director] Leonardo, whom I looked after as a player. It was a club that Qatar recently bought. I really liked the project and there was no manager yet.
“We started changing the structure of the training sessions, setting up a kitchen, etc. Because French players arrive half an hour before training and leave half an hour after. I liked the project, but in the second year they weren’t.” so happy with me

“For a Champions League game in which we had already advanced to the round of 16, we had lost a league game [to Nice, 1-2] before winning [against Evian, 4-0], and they told me that if I didn’t beat Porto, they would sack me. I told them how can you tell me that, it breaks our trust. I decided to leave in February even if they wanted to renew me.”
A number of top-flight coaches have come through PSG in recent years, but none have secured the club’s elusive Champions League title. Since then, Laurent Blanc, Unai Emery, Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino have managed the club.
