The identity of cat and mouse continues The Masked Singer was revealed as series four of the ITV competition continues.

Joel McDermott returned to our screens tonight with the popular singing contest, pitting 12 celebrities against each other as the celebrity panel tries to guess which big names are behind the getups.

A brand new cast took to the stage to surprise the judges and viewers at home, dressed up as jellyfish, phoenix and otter, among others.

The identity of cat and mouse on The Masked Singer has been revealed

The identity of the third celebrity from the fourth series was revealed in the special episode “Time Machine”.

Cat and Mouse turned out to be Martin and Shirlie Kemp, with all the judges wrongly guessing who they thought.

The couple, who are parents of radio station Roman Kemp, said he would likely feel “embarrassed” if they revealed they were on the show.

Shirley added, “Most people say they do it for their kids.”

“We’re just doing it to embarrass him!” Martin intervened.

Her exit came after the judges – Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross – decided to save Cat and Mouse, who were in the bottom two with Knitting.

Who are Martin and Shirlie Kemp as revealed in The Masked Singer?

Shirlie Kemp is a singer known for being one of the backing singers for the pop group Wham! in the 1980s.

She then teamed up with Helen DeMacque to form the duo Pepsi & Shirlie, who were at the height of their popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Shirlie is married to Martin, who is best known as the bass player for the new wave band Spandau Ballet.

He has also worked as an actor, appeared in a number of films and played the character of Steve Owen in EastEnders between 1998 and 2002.

The Masked Singer continues every weekend on ITV1 and ITVX.
