The celebrity world is full of famous family ties – but there are a few that are still on the horizon.

With our thoughts that pop diva Mariah Carey is related to former Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole, we take a look at some more interesting levels of separation.
Mariah Carey and Ashley Cole
Never in a Sunday have we placed pop legend Mariah Carey alongside former Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole – but the pair are indeed related.
During an appearance on A League of Their Own, host James Cordon, 43, asked Ashley, 41, about his connection to the diva.
In the clip, the sportsman acts as a hint, saying he doesn’t know anything about such a connection – but James gritted his teeth and decided. Google it.
Spinning over several quotes, which Ashley apparently said after discovering the link, James was quickly told by the sports star: “I’m not saying it’s not true, I’m just saying I don’t know. what about it.”
Back in 2007, 51-year-old Mariah appeared to confirm the story – and announced that she was also looking for a connection with 1950s jazz legend Nat King Cole.
“It was fascinating,” she said. “My grandmother was Cole before she got married and it turns out she’s from the same Alabama area as Ashley’s ancestors.
Hugh Grant and Thomas Brodie-Sangster
Love Actually stars Hugh and Thomas had no idea they were related until they met on the set of the romantic movie in 2002.
Hugh, 61, who plays the Prime Minister in the film is actually Thomas’s cousin.
The Four Weddings and a Fu Tang star’s grandmother is the older sister of the Game of Thrones actor.
Thomas, 31, who played high school student Sam in Love Actually, also joined Queen’s Gambit.
He said of his relationship: “He didn’t know. I said ‘Obviously you’re my uncle or cousin or something.’
“Then he remembered my mom and uncle. So for the rest of the shot, he was just walking around and saying ‘Hi cousin.’ That felt pretty cool.”
Jamie Dornan and Vic Windsor of Emmerdale
Jamie Dornan, 39, may be known for his suit in Fifty Shades of Gray, but he might want to wear extra clothes if he’s heading to the Dales house.
The Travel star’s father-in-law, Alun Lewis, played Emmerdale’s post office owner Vic Windsor, Viv’s sly husband, for five years.
Vic was killed in a 1998 robbery, but Jamie’s famous connections didn’t stop there.
His mother-in-law Annette Ekblom has starred in Morse, Brookside and a Blood Brothers theater production.
Jamie Dornan has been married to wife Amelia Warner since 2013 and the couple share three daughters, Dulcie, Alberta and Elva.
Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci
Both of these actors were in The Devil Wears Prada, but that’s not the only thing they have in common.
Stanley is married to Emily’s sister, Felicity Blunt.
Couple has one son Matteo Oliver was born on January 25, 2015 and daughter Emilia Giovanna, born on April 19, 2018.
