Charlie Bird’s Friends and Colleagues Record Charity Single ‘Shine a Light’ Before Climbing Croagh Patrick

A special charity single was released ahead of Charlie Bird and Vicky Phelan’s Croagh Patrick fundraiser on April 2.

The song was composed by Sara Noone and Michael English backed with vocals by Joe Duffy, Eileen Dunne, George Lee and many others.

Sharing details of the single on Twitter, Mr Bird wrote: “Shine A Light”, this wonderful song was written especially for me by Sara Noone and sung by Michael English with the RTÉ Orchestra and some colleagues. My RTE. I want to share this dedication with Vicky Phelan being a true beacon of hope. Always keep your arms wide open. “

Mr Bird was diagnosed with a motor disorder last year and he has pledged to climb Ireland’s holiest mountain to raise awareness for terminally ill people and mental health struggles. .
