Charlotte Church has told of her heartbreaking miscarriage at 17 weeks pregnant with her third child due to a miscarriage and how the grief has left her and husband Jonathan united in their grief.

Charlotte Church Discusses Miscarriage

Charlotte Church shared her grief giving birth to her daughter, who tragically miscarried at 17 weeks.

The former Classical singer, 35, said it was ‘mindful’ to ‘witness that pain and that suffering’.

The Wales star recalled her personal tragedy of losing the daughter she was expecting with husband Jonathan Powell, during an appearance on Stories of the life of Kate Garraway.

Speaking of the loss, she told Kate: “It’s so painful, I love you pregnancyI love birth.

“She was about 17 weeks and I went through that delivery.”

Discussing the impact it had on her family, she said: ‘It was formative for us as a family. We kept hugging each other.

”It seems that I was born with beauty. That pain and that suffering… witnessing the bondage of life and death for a moment were my thoughts. ”

The singer went on to have a daughter named Frida, now 18 months, with husband Jonathan Powell in March 2021.

She also shares teens Ruby, 14, and Dexter 13, with ex Gavin Henson, 40.

Charlotte revealed she was pregnant on the Birmingham Pride stage, but just three weeks later she announced the sad news.
