Police say a man opened fire inside a comedy club in North Carolina on Saturday night (July 16) shortly after it was evacuated and before actor and comedian Craig. Robinson prepares to perform.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. at The Comedy Zone in Charlotte, media outlets reported. No one was injured.
Club staff told WSOC-TV that the man swung his gun around and told everyone to leave before the venue was empty. About 50 customers were inside.
“The suspect then discharged his weapon,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a statement. Twitter. “There were no injuries and the suspect was taken into custody.”

The man has yet to be identified.
Robinson has starred in films such as Hot tub time machine as well as the American version of Office TV show. He said he was safe in a video posted Saturday night later for Instagram account.
Robinson said he and others in the club were taken to a nearby concert where pop group Big Time Rush was performing.
“I was in the green room and they were like, ‘Everybody get out,’ he said. “It is very wild. It was a moment for sure. “
