The Chase contestants were dropped on Wednesday of the ITV game show when Jenny Ryan caught a strong four-man team with just three seconds to spare.
Margot, Ria, Tom and Colin’s team faced off with professional puzzler Jenny Ryan – or The Vixen – for a nail-biting run with a £37,000 cash prize.
The team completed an impressive total of 22 questions in the final, but Jenny got into a frenzy and managed to get the contestants only three seconds left in the finale biting their nails.
Jenny got only two questions wrong, one of the two teams answered correctly, the other did not.
Host Bradley Walsh described the final as “unbelievable”, saying: “I haven’t seen that in a long time.”
He told the defeated team: “The Chaser beat you with three seconds left. It was an extraordinary run. I am confused.”
Contestant Margot, who previously revealed it was her 91st birthday, replied: “That’s why she’s the Pursuit and we’re the contestants.”
“You know Reddit – game over,” said Bradley, referring to the question the contestants got wrong, despite having a social media manager on their team.
He concluded: “You have been arrested. The Chase is over. ”

Earlier on the show, Bradley Walsh was stunned when contestant Margot told the studio it was her birthday, as viewers at home assumed the 91-year-old grandmother might be the oldest contestant to appear on the show. programme.
Bradley said: “Happy birthday to Margot. 91. Congratulations. I have to say it’s nice to have you here. “
She explained that she wrote a memoir about her life a decade ago, noting that she was born in Germany and moved to the east end of London in 1939.
She added: “I’m more surprised than you that at 91 I’m still here.”
