But how on earth can you tell if your account is being spied on?

Well, there are some telltale signs worth noting.

Watch out for strange changes to your account

If something strange is happening to your account, it could also be a sign that someone is snooping.

This can range from random changes to your profile photo to messages being sent to friends that you haven’t written.

Slow applications can be an indication that spyware is installed, not just for WhatsApp, but for every app.

This is especially the case when other apps are working properly.

What to do if you notice changes?

If you think someone has access to your account when they shouldn’t, it might be a good idea to reset it.

Make sure all important data like photos and videos are backed up.

Then uninstall and delete the app, download and reinstall it.
