According to reports, LIVERPOOL is set to beat Chelsea in the transfer of Jules Kounde from Sevilla.
The Red Devils are said to be willing to pay his £75m release clause as Klopp is interested in the Frenchman.
The Blues moved to Kounde in the summer but were unwilling to pay his release clause.
The Merseysiders team is said to want a central defender this month.
Kounde is said to have accepted the Reds’ offer and is ready to head to the northwest.
Real Madrid were also interested in a period but their interest seems to have cooled.
The reason Klopp is so keen to move this month is to prevent the 23-year-old from being hunted by others.

Kounde has been very worried about Chelsea’s transfer this summer.
But he has placed it behind him and has been excellent for Sevilla, who are second in La Liga.
He has made 17 appearances in the league this season and has kept nine clean sheets of them.

Chelsea may not be able to sign Kounde if Antonio Rudiger leaves.
The German player’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is free to speak to clubs abroad this month.
And he is set to skipping Paris Saint-Germain’s £110,000-a-week salary in favor of Real Madrid after chatting with former Chelsea teammates Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, according to the report.
