Chelsea ‘expect’ Andreas Christensen to leave with teammates doomed to his exit

Chelsea have a number of players out of contract including Andreas Christensen, who could leave in the summer transfer window with nothing of interest to Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Chelsea are expecting the departure of Andreas Christensen at the end of the season with his teammates already resigned to that fact.
The Denmark international is out of contract when the current campaign ends while there is a great deal of interest in his services.
It would be a huge shock to the Blues if the centre-back is allowed to leave for nothing after his contract ends.
Contract negotiations have been going on all year and at the start of the season it looks like an agreement will be reached.
In fact, only Christensen His last-minute decision forced all parties back to the negotiating table and no solution was found.

With little progress being made in the following months, all parties appear to be too far away for a breakthrough before the summer transfer window opens.
And it has made Chelsea look forward to Christensen’s departure while his teammates have accepted that the 25-year-old will not be there next season, reports Sky Sports Germany.
Bayern Munich are among the frontrunners to sign the defender on a free transfer as they look to replace Niklas Sule.
The Germany international is also out of contract at the end of the season and has agreed to join Borussia Dortmund this summer.
That would leave Bayern badly behind, having lost David Alaba and Jerome Boateng on free transfers last year.
Barcelona are in the race for Christensen’s signature as are club president Joan Laporta scouring the bargain bin given their current financial situation.
Like Dane, the Blaugrana are pursuing Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea with the Spaniard’s contract also set to expire at the end of the season.
Losing Christensen would be a huge blow for the Blues, who developed him at the age of 14 after he joined Brondby as a youth player.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach player has been a key member of Thomas Tuchel’s squad this season and is a huge part of the team. Champions League winning team last year.
After Thiago Silva’s injury in the final against City of ManchesterChristensen took his place to deliver a flawless performance as Chelsea won over Porto.
As with Christensen and Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger is also out of contract this summer but there are more positives about re-signing the German.
Chelsea have identified Sevilla star Jules Kounde as a potential replacement after missing out on the Frenchman last summer.
