CHELSEA are hunting Derby County left-back Dylan Williams in a dream move for young Ram.
Stamford Bridge Club is finalizing a fee with the club’s board in crisis that will see Williams move in for an initial sum plus extras.
Williams, 18, has played for the Derby first team eight times this season but has failed to sign a professional contract during his time in management.
Derby face losing to Williams at the end of the season, meaning they will have to wait a long time for the court to settle their compensation.
Rooney has also spoken to Williams to discuss a move and all parties have decided it is best for him to leave now.
The Rams boss said of the move: “We’ve agreed a fee with a Premier League club for Dylan Williams – I couldn’t stand in his way.”
