Chelsea could bring back at least one key player on his return First League action this weekend.
The agent of defender Antonio Rüdiger was spotted Barcelona Barca sporting director Mateu Alemany and technical director Jordy Cruyff. The German defender is free to talk to other clubs as his contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season. The Blues are hoping to extend the centre-back who has expressed interest in extending his stay in west London.
Potential new owner Todd Boehly has previously spoken out about the transformation of England’s stadiums as he plans to redevelop Stamford Bridge.

Blues Injury Update
Chelsea continue their quest for a place in the top three when they take on Brentford this weekend.
The Blues are currently third arsenal Sitting on their necks, knowing that a win on Saturday will cement their position in the league with eight games left. And defender Reece James could return to the first-team since picking up an injury earlier in the month.
There is also a chance that central defender Andreas Christensen will be involved.
Rüdiger future update
Antonio Rudiger’s contract expires at the end of the season, leaving him free to talk to other clubs across Europe.
And it seems his agent is taking advantage of this after he was spotted speaking to Barca’s sporting director Mateu Alemany and technical director Jordi Cruyff at Barcelona. The Spanish giants are also interested in Rudiger’s team-mate Andreas Christensen on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Rudiger has expressed interest in extending his stay in west London.
Boehly’s stadium opinion
One of the four bidders to buy Chelsea has shared his thoughts on English football stadiums.
Todd Boehly, part owner of the NBA franchise LA Lakers and the MLB franchise LA Dodgers, is part of a consortium looking to succeed outgoing owner Roman Abramovich. And part of the American’s place is to refurbish the 40,000-seat Stamford Bridge stadium, with quotes attributed to 2019 recently resurfaced.
“The new stadiums, the [English clubs] building, they’re starting to take an American approach to stadiums and making them environments,” says Boehly said Bloomberg in 2019.
