Roman Abramovich has his superyacht docked in Turkey – where he could avoid eventual sanctions.

The Associated Press and Turkish media report that Abramovich’s Bermuda-registered Eclipse docked at a port in the resort of Marmaris on Tuesday. It comes as six syndicates have now submitted offers to become Chelsea’s next owners after Abramovich put the Blues up for sale following the Russian invasion Ukraine.

Some of the groups are backed by some of the richest people in the world, and Blues fans are hoping the new regime will do whatever it takes to make the club one of the best in Europe. And former Blues boss Frank Lampard has been slammed for his “very dangerous” comments about Everton.

Lampard struck

Frank Lampard has been slammed for the “very dangerous” comments he made after his everton became Beaten 4-0 at crystal palace by doing FA Cup.

Abramovich moors superyacht

Roman Abramovich’s Bermuda-registered superyacht Eclipse has docked at a port in the Turkish resort of Marmaris.

Another of his luxury yachts, My Solaris, arrived in the nearby resort of Bodrum on Monday, sparking a protest by a group of Ukrainians who boarded a small motorboat to prevent the ship from docking Russia goes into the fourth week of attacks.

Turkey, a member of Nato, occupies a unique position in the conflict as the country has close ties with both Russia and Ukraine. She has publicly criticized the invasion of Moscow but has also positioned herself as a neutral party trying to mediate between the two nations – meaning Abramovich could avoid sanctions in the country.

There are six consortiums in the frame hoping to become Chelsea’s next owners.
