Tuchel reveals setback for James after returning from injury

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has issued a warning to interested parties hoping to buy Chelsea from Roman Abramovich.

The billionaire owner announced last week that he intends to sell after the Russian invasion Ukraine.

It is reported that the Russian player wants around £3 billion for the club he bought for just £140 million in 2003.

But Wenger has warned things could be radically different for the club’s next owners in the new context of Arsenal. Premier League.

And Abramovich’s stance on one of the offers he has received for the club has been revealed.

It happened when Thomas Tuchel made a transfer offer for one of his current players.

Tuchel’s plea

Thomas Tuchel pleads with contract rebel Andreas Christensen to stay at the club amid reported interest from Barcelona.

The Danish midfielder’s current contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season and he is understood to have held negotiations with La Liga giants over free transfer in summer window.

But Tuchel has previously spoken of his desire for the defender to stay at the club – and it appears the Chelsea boss is keen to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

Wenger’s warning

Before Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger warned potential new Chelsea owners that things could be different for them than Roman Abramovich.

The Russian billionaire has funded the most successful period in Chelsea’s history, culminating in their second Champions League winning since he bought the club at the end of last season.

But Financial Fair Play has since changed the economic landscape of the game, and Wenger thinks things will be quite different for the club’s new owners.

Abramovich’s stance

Roman Abramovich is said to be taking a cautious look at the offer he received from a consortium hoping to buy Chelsea.

A consortium led by American billionaire Todd Boehly and Swiss businessman Hansjorg Wyss is said to have moved quickly after the Russians put the Blues up for sale, with an offer already being made.

However, Abramovich has yet to officially respond to the offer as he is mulling it over.

With around 10 parties believed to be interested in buying the club, Abramovich is stopping to commit further to the offer he already has.
