Analysis of the Chelsea squad
Chelsea have a number of players out of contract over the summer and under the current restrictions, the Blues are unable to sign them new.
For those set to stay next season, there’s still a chance that the new owner will keep an eye on the squad and opt to leave the players as part of refreshing things at Stamford Bridge. Whilst there will be players who are seen as key members of the Chelsea dressing room regardless of who buys the club.

Hazard’s Madrid shot
Real Madrid star Eden Hazard will not face his old club Chelsea when the two sides meet in the UEFA Champions League.
The quarter-final game in April gave the Belgian an opportunity to take on the side he had played for for seven years, winning leagues and cups both domestically and in Europe. However, Hazard will not be present after suffering another injury setback that will require surgery.
Hazard left Stamford Bridge to join Madrid in 2019 but has struggled for goals and games due to injuries.
