Abramovich has already announced his plan to donate the proceeds of the club’s sale to humanitarian organizations and has now said he “remains committed to finding a good trustee for Chelsea and making sure the proceeds go to used for good purposes”.

Merson’s Lukaku Warning

Arsenal legend Paul Merson says Chelsea have ‘no choice but to carry on’ with Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgium international returned to Stamford Bridge last summer with a club-record £97.5million when he joined from Inter Milan. But things didn’t quite work out for the forward, who has scored just five goals in 23 Premier League games for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

He could reportedly move on this summer and leave the Blues to seek an alternative option ahead of time – although Merson believes that won’t happen. The expert claims that new owners would not be happy with the sale of the club, which is still ongoing, if the club sells it for “half” what they bought it for and has supported Lukaku to stay at the club and “to continue next season”. .
