Former Barcelona star Ronaldinho has revealed the player he thinks is ‘one of the best’ right now – and they have been linked with a summer move to Chelsea.

AC Milan’s Rafael Leao has contributed to 18 goals for Stefano Pioli’s side who are close to winning Serie A. And world champion Ronaldinho has revealed his love for the player ahead of a potential summer move.

It comes as a well-known issue for the Blues surfaced as they drew 1-1 with Leicester City. Marcos Alonso’s fine volley gave Chelsea a 1-1 draw and seemingly secured the Blues third place in the Premier League

Ronaldinho’s transfer recommendation

Former Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho has said AC Milan’s Rafael Leao is “one of the best” players in the world.

“Leao is one of the best now,” said Ronaldinho. “I see him and I like him a lot, he’s one of the best today.” It comes as Todd Boehly is reportedly “pushing for A-list signings” to usher in a new era at Stamford Bridge once his takeover is complete, according to football.london.

And Ronaldinho’s recommendation could make the Blues target the perfect player.

Leicester Talking Points

Marcos Alonso overcame his early error to hand the Blues a 1-1 draw with Leicester.

The full-back switched off to help James Maddison give the Foxes an early lead at Stamford Bridge but made a sweet attempt to equalize before the break. The result almost secures Chelsea third in the Premier League, three points clear of fourth-place Spurs but with a vastly superior goal difference.

It was a game full of talking points, including Chelsea’s striking struggles, Alonso’s mixed evening and Todd Boehly’s presence.

Known issue returns

Chelsea’s frustrating home form has cost them yet again.

The Blues struggled to find a winner against Leicester City, with potential owner Todd Boehly also present at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have now recorded seven home draws in the Premier League this season. They have just recorded eight home wins – the worst of any team in the top seven.

The Blues’ home form has been a major reason why Tuchel’s side have not been able to keep up with Liverpool and Manchester City this season and is certainly something they are looking to improve on next season. Chelsea host Watford at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in hopes of ending the season with a final home win.
