Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has announced he will sell Chelsea following his country’s invasion of Ukraine, with interested parties now believed to be forthcoming.

There are at least 10 parties interested in buying Chelsea Football Club from Roman Abramovich.

Earlier this month, the Russian billionaire announced that he would put the club up for sale after his country was invaded Ukraine.

Several interested parties have now been revealed, with reports also suggesting that Abramovich is now ‘considering’ the first offer from US billionaire Todd Boehly.

It comes like Premier League competitor Newcastle United are said to be considering a move for Blues defender Antonio Rudger, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season – but there is a big interest in the player.

Newcastle ponders Rudiger swooping in

Newly rich Newcastle United Football Club are considering buying Chelsea midfielder Antonio Rudiger, it has been confirmed.

The German defender’s contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move, with the likes of which Real MadridParis Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are rumored to want his services.

The player could still choose to stay at Stamford Bridge, although the Blues have yet to respond to his request with an offer of a new contract.

And Newcastle are now said to have joined the race for Rudiger’s signature – although they are said to have a major interest in a transfer for the defender.

Serious Buyer Disclosure

At least 10 serious buyers are said to have registered an interest in buying Chelsea from Roman Abramovich.

The Russian billionaire is said to want £3 billion to part with the club he bought for £140 million in 2003.

Reports have now stated that at least 10 interested parties have come forward in connection with the purchase of the club and details of their identities have also come to light.

And the latest reports have identified two of those parties – with Blues fans still wondering what will happen to their club.

Abramovich is ‘considering’ the offer

The first bid is said to have been made to buy Chelsea from Roman Abramovich.

It is reported that American billionaire Todd Boehly, who also partially owns the LA Dodgers Major League Baseball franchise, is heading a consortium that includes Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss.

Reports claim that the consortium moved quickly to receive a quick bid after Abramovich announced that he would sell the club – but they have yet to receive a response to their offer.

That means it is now a game of waiting to find out Chelsea’s next owner.
