Kroos continues Mount feud
The Blues defeated Madrid that night but lost 5-4 on aggregate and during the game Kroos was seen making a gesture of greeting, which Mount did when scoring. A feud between the two began when they met in European competition last season.
Tuchel’s Gallagher plan
Chelsea manager Tuchel is confident Gallagher can be part of his first-team squad next season.
Gallagher is currently on loan at Crystal Palace, the Blues’ opponents in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley. Gallagher is not allowed to take part in the game due to the terms of the loan deal.
Tuchel recently spoke highly of the midfielder: “It was a pleasure to train him in the pre-season – he has so much positive energy, energy in general and such a work output that he can have a big impact.
Werner’s recent form has given manager Tuchel a headache ahead of the FA Cup semi-finals.
Werner capitalized on his chance in recent weeks when he signed Romelu Lukaku in the summer, who was out not only because of his form but also because of an injury. The Germany striker has scored three goals in his last two games and could have scored more in the 6-0 win Southampton, where he scored a brace.
Tuchel has instructed his compatriot to keep shooting in front of the goal.
