Tuchel confirms Rudiger will leave Chelsea

The England international has been widely linked with a return Chelsea, after being sacked by the Blues after progressing through the club’s academy. It comes as Jorginho has spoken about team-mate Antonio Rudiger’s imminent departure. And Chelsea’s potential line-up for next season has been revealed.

Chelsea’s line-up after the takeover

Chelsea’s starting XI could look very different next season as the club await a number of important departures this summer.

With the club’s takeover set to happen before the summer transfer window opens, the Blues are expected to be active in the market, although it appears the new owners will be too late to keep Antonio Rudiger. That means defensive reinforcements could be added, including Jules Kounde and Wesley Fofana who are linked.

A new midfielder could also arrive with the Blues interested in West Ham’s Declan Rice and Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni. And Romelu Lukaku could also bring his disappointing Stamford Bridge return to a premature end as a return to Italy is said to be on the cards – meaning changes in the attacking line might also be needed.

West Ham’s stance on selling rice

west ham are poised to dig in their heels and play hard should Chelsea decide to rush for Declan Rice this summer.

The midfielder has just turned down a third offer on a new contract that would have been worth £200,000-a-week from the Hammers but that won’t change the club’s determination to keep their star. The club insist they are not considering any offers below £150million for the 23-year-old in the hope it will deter potential suitors from making a move for him.

The tactics are believed to have been inspired by Spurs’ handling of Manchester City’s interest in Harry Kane last summer – and the club believe Rice will remain committed if he stays with them for next season.
