Chivalry 2 will be released on Steam on June 12th along with the Tenosian Invasion update

Torn Banner Studios announced today chivalry 2 goes to Steam on June 12th.

Previously a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store, the Steam version of the game will be instantly identical to all other versions, including all game updates released to date, and having the same content as each platform.

In addition to the Steam release on June 12th, players can look forward to the Tenosian Invasion update on all supported platforms – including Steam.

The update will be the “biggest and most ambitious” content update yet and will feature a variety of new content, including the introduction of the Tenosian faction. You can also expect new team objectives and team deathmatch maps, weapon arsenals, weapon skins, and more.

Also, for the first time, mounted horse combat is coming to the Chivalry franchise alongside a cross-platform console server browser.

The new, fully-functional mounted combat system promised to make you feel like you were fighting a thousand-pound beast. You can trample enemies, land horse kicks from the front or behind, unhorse enemies with a lance, and engage in hand-to-hand combat with grounded or mounted combatants.

The DLC will also include the following four maps:

• The Breach of Baudwyn (Team Objective Map): Tenosians breach a Mason Bulwark using siege gear, including the new explosive bombards.
• The Razing of Askandir (Team Objective Card): Freemasons invade a Tenosian port city to destroy its lighthouse and burn down its vast library.
• The Charge of Wardenglade (Team Deathmatch Map): The classic open field, now with cavalry!
• Desert (Team Deathmatch Map): A battle on the outskirts of Baudwyn in the dark, cold night.
