Chloe Madeley hit back at those who questioned why she continued to exercise while pregnant.
The mother-to-be explained how she adjusted her exercise regimen as she prepared to welcome a new baby.
Chloe, 34, is expecting her first child with her husband, rugby star James Haskell.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the daughter of TV legends Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan announced she was halfway through her pregnancy.
The fitness fan then answered some of the frequently asked questions she’s had since revealing she’s pregnant.
“During my first trimester, I worked really hard to keep walking my dog every day and keeping up with my weekly exercise sessions (4-5pm),” she explained in response to How her gym sessions have changed in recent months.
“I know how important it is to be active during pregnancy, not only for my body but also for the health of my unborn baby, delivery and recovery after birth.
“But by the second week of illness and headaches, I finally accepted that it wasn’t something I could do.”
She then went on to explain that she was unable to exercise during December and January, but resumed her normal workout at 14 weeks of pregnancy.
“Every woman, body and pregnancy is different. Instead, I decided to find out what my body did and didn’t like. After almost ten years of training, I’m pretty good at it now. reading my body,” Chloe said. followers on Instagram.
She later revealed that she had cut out intense workouts and wasn’t pushing herself into anything too strenuous at this point in her pregnancy.
The star’s fans appreciated her candid and honest update, with one commenting: “Thanks for sharing Chloe. I’m a huge advocate for exercise while carrying. pregnancy (when it’s possible) That first trimester is a fantasy, isn’t it?”

Another follower wrote: “Thanks for being honest… I find it hard to keep training when everyone else seems to be. Before pregnancy = triathlon. Pregnancy = walking 5 minutes is an achievement. Happy Half Way!!!”
Chloe and husband James announced their pregnancy last month, after two years of struggling to conceive a baby.
The mother-to-be is conscious not to share too much about her pregnancy on social media, as she is mindful of others who may be going through similar struggles.
“Well, I suppose there’s a couple of reasons why I’m not just posting or constantly posting about being pregnant…”, she explained in an Instagram Q&A earlier this month.
“1. It’s amazing, there’s really more to my life than just being pregnant. So much more.
“I remember when I tried, for two years, and struggled to see everyone around me get pregnant.”
Chloe added that she never felt ‘envious’ of someone else’s pregnancy, just ‘sad’.
