Chris Evans disbelieves Rod Stewart’s efforts to fund Ukrainians seeking refuge in Britain amid Russian invasion.
The radio host, 55, expressed his shock at discovering the music legend’s war effort.
Chris, who hosted the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky on Thursday, couldn’t believe his ears when he heard the 77-year-old Hot Legs singer had secured a way out of their country for Ukrainian refugees during the war.
Speaking to his co-host, Chris shared the backstory of discovering Sir Rod’s amazing efforts to help those suffering from the devastating crisis in Ukraine.
The popular star revealed that he had found an unwelcome guest in his home in the form of a mouse.
To try to get the rodent out of his home as soon as possible, Chris told his wife Natasha to call the exterminator.
However, Chris immediately got a text message back from his wife, telling him that their exterminator is indeed on its way to help those suffering in Ukraine.
“He hasn’t been around for a while because he was busy going to Ukraine and bringing refugees back to the UK funded by Rod Stewart,” Chris explained.
Apparently in disbelief while on the air live, Chris continued, “And I just found this all out now. Isn’t that just great?”

“It’s very moving, it’s very moving. I haven’t heard Rod Stewart talk about it at all,” he added.
It comes after the music legend sent a message of support to a security firm that had been making deliveries to Ukraine in a series of vans.
Rod said to Superintendent Martin Jackson, “Martin, this is Rod Stewart, mate. Well done for getting out there and helping.
“I sponsored four trucks that are in Germany right now, they will come and meet you in Poland.

“Well done son, I’m proud of you.”
Following Chris’ revelation about the good-natured Rod Stewart, fans flocked to Twitter to praise the music icon.
“That’s what celebrities should do — take a leaf out of Rod’s book. Don’t just share stupid posts – get out there and do something amazing with all your money,” wrote one Twitter user.
“Rod Stewart is honestly an all round wonderful man,” echoed another.
“What a role model and an incredible person,” gushed another.
