Will Smith and Chris Rock have reportedly not spoken to each other following the altercation at the Oscars, which has sparked controversy since last night’s ceremony.
The 53-year-old actor was spotted live on the air punching the 57-year-old comedian after the latter made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, 50, while he was making a guest appearance at the event.
He suggested that she looked like GI Jane – seemingly in reference to her shaved head – which she had previously said is linked to hair loss due to alopecia.
Shortly after the comment, Will – who has been married to Jada since 1997 – took the stage to confront Chris, slapping the comedian on the live broadcast.

It was later claimed that the two men resolved the issue, with some fans even expecting them to discuss it on a future episode of Jada’s show Red Table Talk.
However, it has since been reported that Will and Chris did not speak to each other after the incident, prompting backlash against both men involved.
A source tells TMZ that there has been no communication between the two since they were spotted on stage together when the audience was stunned by Will’s outburst.

And while he was criticized for apparently making a joke given Jada’s experience with alopecia, the source said Chris isn’t really aware she has the condition.
They told the outlet that the stand-up comedian, who had a speaking role alongside Jada in the Madagascar film series, “doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.”
The source said that after the altercation, Chris went to his dressing room and then left the building, saying he never planned on staying long anyway.

They added that he was left “shaken and confused” by Will, but reportedly attended an after-party to enjoy himself on stage after the incident.
The awards ceremony incident has prompted a backlash, although it has been said Chris declined to file a police report after the altercation.
