Oscars: Will Smith slams Chris Rock after joking about Jada
Chris Rock could be in big trouble with Oscar bosses after it was claimed his joke about Jada Pinkett Smith was allegedly not checked ahead of the Oscars.
Insiders say there was no reference whatsoever to Will Smith or his wife during rehearsals.
The angry actor stormed the stage after the comedian poked fun at Jada Pinkett’s hair loss, and the audience fell silent as they witnessed the star slap Chris in the face.
The comic jokingly compared her haircut to GI Jane and Will saw red, prompting a violent outburst.
He returned to his seat and repeatedly yelled “Keep my wife’s name out of your damn mouth!”.

The ugly exchange made global headlines as the drama exploded on stage at the 94th annual awards show in Tinseltown on Sunday night.
Now the source said Us weekly that Chris initially rehearsed his speech with no mention of Jada, with scripts always studied by bosses.
The insider added, “Will was absent from the rehearsal.”
According to music superstar Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, the pair have already kissed and reconciled.

The 52-year-old star recounted Page Six: “That’s no problem. It’s over. I can confirm that.”
He added: “It’s all love. They are brothers.”
Jada has been open about her battle with hair loss due to alopecia.
In December, she posted a video on Instagram and pointed out that she was bald.
She said: “Now at this point I can only laugh. You all know that I’m struggling with alopecia and suddenly one day, look at this line right here.

“Now this is getting a little harder for me to hide, so I thought I’d just share it so y’all don’t ask questions.
“But you know mom will put some rhinestones in it and I’ll make myself a little crown.”
Will later won the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Richard Williams in King Richard.
During his acceptance speech, Will said, “Love makes you do crazy things.”

But he could potentially face the possibility of being asked to return his Oscar as backlash over his violent outburst mounts.
“I hope @TheAcademy decides to revoke Will Smith’s Oscar win. Showing on national TV that you can attack someone and still be rewarded with no repercussions is disgusting,” he tweeted.
“Honestly, revoke #WillSmith’s Oscar and ban him from attending. I don’t care how good your acting is, that doesn’t give you the right to attack you. #WillAndChris,” another viewer fired.
“Academy must make a statement that the violence perpetrated by Will Smith on their stage is unacceptable and regrettable, and then they must revoke his Oscar,” added a third.
