Christmas dinner ruined by lazy Morrisons and Sainsbury’s turkeys that look like ALIENS and reek of rancid meat

UNHAPPY Morrisons and Sainsbury’s customers have claimed raw turkeys ruined their Christmas dinner.

Families were furious after buying the “rotten” meat – and only realizing it just before their festive acts.

Brits have taken to social media with disgusting pictures of their turkeys.

One person even said they had no choice but to settle for beans on toast after spotting the “off” bird.

Adam Green shared a picture of the turkey he received from Sainsbury’s.

He wrote in one post: “Just pulled my Sainsbury’s turkey out of the fridge to stuff it up and get it ready for Christmas dinner so the bird absolutely stinks!

“I gave him 15 minutes to see if the smell would go away only for it to get worse.

“Very disappointing considering it would have been the centerpiece.”

In response, a Sainsbury’s spokesman said: “I am terribly sorry about the poor quality turkey.

“Can you please DM us and confirm your name, address and email? I’ll take care of it.”

Jonathan Heard had a similar experience, sharing: “Oh wow Sainsbury’s that’s a pretty bad show!

“Fresh turkey from December 27th and it’s bad! Slimy skin with yellowed spots and odors.

“This will spoil tomorrow’s Christmas dinner for 13.”

Another Twitter user said: “What the heck Sainsbury’s.

“My turkey is rotten, Christmas ruined, kids are crying. We need beans on toast now. An absolute shame.”

A Morrisons customer also had an unhappy Christmas dinner after realizing his turkey had gone bad.

They said: “The Morrisons are really disappointed. Opened my meal to order turkey this morning and it’s out.”

A Morrisons spokesman told the Mirror: “Our quality team tests all of our products.

“We’ve tested our turkeys against our high quality and safety standards over the Christmas period – including our roasts, crowns and whole birds – and we have strict standards, procedures and testing with our approved suppliers.

“All customer complaints are thoroughly investigated by our suppliers to ensure we are satisfying our customers and meeting our high quality standards.”

Last year buyers also complained about “rancid” birds.

It comes as an online shopper revealed the bizarre replacement he received after ordering a 1kg chicken for Christmas.

The chef shared pictures of the strange substitute, which he claims ASDA made for the chicken he wanted.

Instead of the 1kg chicken, ASDA supplied a 5.2kg turkey as the Christmas turkey.

The buyer had already ordered a 2kg turkey crown from the store.

Now he has to endure over 7 kg of turkey meat this Christmas.

The buyer took to Reddit with his snaps of the replacement, branding it a “huge win.”

The Christmas chef said: “That doesn’t fit in my roaster!”
