Chrome introduces a brand new security trick that might save you from embarrassment

GOOGLE makes it possible to quickly clear all your recent browsing data with a new button that’s sure to come in handy.

Maybe you have a gift that you want to surprise.

Or you could have searched for something embarrassing.

Normally, you switch to Incognito mode, Chrome’s useful additional web browser that doesn’t store as much data.

But if you forget, or just realize you took part in something you’d rather keep private, you’ll have to go through history to get rid of it.

It’s a bit long just deleting recent data and nothing else.

So what if you had a button that just clears everything from the last 15 minutes?

Apparently Google is working on that.

Accordingly Chrome storythe new Quick Delete option appears in the form of a flag in the three-dot menu.

It’s not yet clear when the feature will land in all Chrome browsers.

But when the time comes, the two faucets will definitely make life a lot easier.

Google has toyed with the idea on Android before.

So it looks like it could be more widespread very soon.

We’ll have to keep our eyes peeled in future updates to see if it comes true.

For now, keep using Incognito for those private moments.

Or delete the history in the long run.

How to clear history in Chrome

To clear web history in Chrome, first open the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

Find History and then History again.

Go to Clear Browsing Data and choose how far back you want to go and what types of data you want to clear.
